About MAU

Customized Placement Services

Since we first began providing staffing services in 1973, we have learned what our customers need: consistent quality in service and performance. While our service can be as simple as providing a "clerk for a day," today's customers typically require long-term, highly skilled workers who fit into the core of their business and play key roles in their long-term success.

For short term needs, MAU can provide skilled temporary placements and, for long-term or project staffing needs, MAU can supply qualified contract workers.

Our Working Interview program allows a customer to evaluate an employee on the job for a trial period before making a hiring commitment. During the trial period the employee is on MAU's payroll and we assume all the hiring risks.

If there is a direct placement need, MAU will work to define a profile of the ideal candidate. We then apply all of our substantial resources to find that individual. Advertising costs, screening, testing, interviewing, reference checking, employee taxes, and tax reports are borne by MAU.

Recruiting and Screening

The key to successful placement is finding the right people. At MAU, we employ a four-step process.

  • SOURCING AND RECRUITING

MAU is continually searching for people whose skills are being underutilized and who may be looking for a better opportunity. We work through internet recruitment, industry contacts, community organizations, colleges, business schools, business referrals, and job fairs to locate viable candidates.

  • TESTING AND SCREENING

Once candidates have been identified, their skills are thoroughly measured against our customers' needs. Testing is conducted to evaluate skill levels, interests, and aptitudes. Personality profiling is performed and references are contacted. If the customer desires, MAU will also perform credit checks, criminal background checks, and drug screens. Results of tests and assessments are then carefully evaluated against customer criteria.

  • ORIENTATION

Before going to work, each new employee participates in an orientation given by an MAU Staffing Specialist. Together they review specifics about the customer's job site as well as MAU employment policies.

  • TRAINING

To ensure that MAU employees continue to grow and develop with the changing needs in the job market, we offer a computer training package to advance an individual's computer skills. Many of the popular software applications used in today's office are represented in our training library. It is available to our customers for their current employees as well as to our applicants who may need additional training for career development.

To maintain a competitive edge in business the keyword is flexibility and MAU is synonymous with "staffing flexibility". We level the peaks and valleys that come with vacations and seasonal demands.

We can do all of this with an investment that is less than the combined cost of hiring a full time regular employee.

Isn't it time to start your partnership with MAU?
